Hi I am am total new bee to excavator world. I recently Got this machine. It has over 8200 hours. I have CAT 304ECR from 2013, Serial # begins with TTN. I replaced engine oil with synthetic oil and noticed nice difference between old oil and new oil, filter, fuel filter, cleaned entire housing filters which was muddy inside. This is all I have done up to this point.
My issue is I have a leak at the blade Front hose connection, not sure if it is hose or connector, it seems it is connector as I see they sell them as separate item. I would assume it's just one piece and you screw it in into cylinder, but no, it seems there is that connector that seems to be leaking, not sure where it;s leaking from yet, hard to pin point, but it's at the connection not hose from what I can tell. I did lose hydraulic fluid because of that.
Now question #1 are there alternative cheaper options than buying CAT Hydo advanced 10 that will have same or very similar hydraulic fluids that will match CAT fluid?
Example SINOPEC AW 32 Hydraulic fluid (Walmart sells it for $47.49 a pail)
I called them up and the answer was literally they can't recommend anything for "liability reasons", he suggested to go to website and lookup the specs myself and decide.https://buysinopec.com/cdn/shop/files/PDS-Antiwear_Hydraulic_Oil_L-HM_2e134a33-64e7-4c09-bd0e-5674ad3f2f52.pdf?v=16948327678071648865
What brands of fluid would you recommend if you have few on your mind I would like to take a look at them if you can include the links I would really appreciate it
#2 If I will disconnect the hydraulic line while everything is shut down, of course, will there be any remaining pressure if so, How do I release ?? And once I remove the hose will the fluid just simply flow out of the hose uncontrollably or it will just flow a little and stop? Any instructions on when disconnecting hoses, what to watch out for etc? (i am aware that the blade must not have any tension on it)
I read about TO-4 but as Far as I understand there is no transmission, right? it's just hydo oil, engine oil, and gear oil in final drives. I want to replace these oils and hydro filters. Any suggestions with details I will greatly appreciate.

My question #1 - do you have an Operation & Maintenance Manual yet.?
If not, that should be your first purchase because alternative fluids are all listed there, along with a mountain of other useful information.

You can download a pdf copy for $75 from the Cat Pubs web site. Search for SEBU8746.
Alternatively here is something a bit cheaper (and older) from eBay. It is CHG02 where the latest version of the manual is CHG14.

Pretty much every major oil company (Mobil, Shell, Caltex, Concoc Phillips, etc) will offer an oil very similar (or identical) to Cat HYDO 10W. Remember Cat don't produce the oil themselves, they have an oil company (used to be Mobil, not sure today) produce all their lubricnats for them.

Oh, and BTW, an SAE 10W oil is the equivalent of an ISO25 viscosity, not an ISO32.

What about the hose, if i will disconnect the blade hose do you what will happen with the fluid? Will it freely flow out or will it just drip slowly?

BTW I made multiple searches and all results show 10W is equivalent to ISO32, not a mention of ISO 25.
The only thing I found is 5w is equivalent to iso22

See the chart below. ISO 32 is a hair heavier than an SAE 15W.
Although it is not specifically shown on the chart, ISO 25 (red line) falls smack dab in the middle of the SAE 10W viscosity range.
I would say that most of the major oil companies will produce an ISO 25 hydraulic oil. If not then they will produce an SAE 10W. Generally the difference is that ISO-rated hydraulic oils fall into the classification of oils used for industrial processes, where SAE-rated oils are generally specified for use in mobile/semi-mobile equipment. However Japanese equipment brands often specify ISO-viscosity oils for their machines.

Unless you have some caps available, yes you will always lose some oil when you disconnect any hose.

Again I can't recommend strongly enough that you get hold of an Operation & Maintenance Manual as I mentioned in Post #2 above.
